St. Mary of the Annunciation School creates a welcoming atmosphere in the Catholic tradition where faith and knowledge meet to provide a sound foundation for life-long learning. We empower each child to reach their full potential through a process that encourages character development, spiritual growth, and academic excellence.
St. Mary’s School has a three-fold purpose: to teach, to build community, and to serve. We are then
committed to the following goals:
• The student will grow in the knowledge and love of God and of the Church through prayer, good example, and service. Students will be able to make correct moral choices based upon Christian values, and be able to distinguish right from wrong.
• The student will be able to think critically, i.e. assess a situation, utilize prior knowledge, generate alternatives, make a logical and reasonable judgment, implement the plan, and evaluate the result.
• The student will learn a variety of academic and practical skills, enabling him or her to become a capable person in a wide range of life situations.
• The student will develop an understanding and respect for the world’s various cultures and demonstrate an appreciation for the richness that cultural diversity brings to our human experience.
The administration, faculty, and staff at St. Mary of the Annunciation School are committed to helping students reach their potential and develop a love for learning. We recognize parents as the first teachers of each child and welcome them as co-educators of the students and through the school community encourage them in their role. Together we all work to build a peaceful and nurturing school community.
I invite you to come and visit St. Mary of the Annunciation School.

St. John's Prep - steeped in history and on the cutting edge of innovation - is a vibrant academic community dedicated to helping young men grow as people of faith, wisdom and brotherhood.
Grounded in the rich tradition of Catholic education, we strive to live the vision and values of a Xaverian Brothers sponsored school by creating an atmosphere that fosters intellectual growth, inspires a sense of spirituality, and nurtures the unique talents of diverse students from more than 80 cities and towns.
We empower our students to discover that they are capable of achieving far more than they ever thought possible. The commitment and dedication of our extraordinary faculty is evident in the impressive range of what our students achieve each day - in the classroom, on stage, on the athletic field and during local and global service trips. Perhaps most importantly, it can be seen in what Theodore James Ryken, who founded the Xaverian Brothers in 1839, described as the “ordinary, unspectacular flow of everyday life.”
Bishop Fenwick High School was founded in 1959 by the late Richard Cardinal Cushing and was named for the second Bishop of Boston, Benedict Joseph Fenwick, S.J. The school was the first coeducational Catholic high school on the North Shore and was staffed by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Bishop Fenwick High School is recognized as one of the finest college preparatory high schools in the area. Students travel to the 38-acre campus --located 20 miles north of Boston-- from 49 communities in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Parents seek the Fenwick experience for their sons and daughters because they want a school that offers strong academic, spiritual, and athletic programs, emphasizes self-discipline, and supports the development of moral character.
Bishop Fenwick, having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, remains committed to its original mission: nurturing in young men and women the formation of spiritual values, the development of academic skills, the awakening of creative powers, and the development of cultural awareness through a comprehensive college preparatory program.
